Terms Of Service

Terms of service

By using the service you agree to the terms below. Last updated: 18 August 2026.

1. The service

WebClaw provides a desktop launcher, a container runtime, and the account, licensing and subscription features around them. We iterate continuously and reserve the right to adjust the product, its pricing, availability and rules.

The container runtime is licensed under SSPL v1: free for personal projects, learning, internal company use and non-commercial open source. Offering it as a hosted service, or redistributing it inside a commercial product, requires a separate commercial licence.

2. Your obligations

  • Provide a real, working email address that can receive notices.
  • Do not use the service for anything unlawful, infringing, abusive, or that attacks or destabilises the platform.
  • Do not resell, spam, share or circumvent the licensing mechanism.
  • Keep your local environment, devices and licence details secure yourself.

3. Subscriptions, licences and refunds

  • Different tiers cover different instance counts, features and durations.
  • Lifetime purchases are defined by the page at the time of purchase; they do not automatically include every future capability.
  • If a payment fails, double-charges, or a licence does not take effect, contact us promptly.
  • Payments are processed through our billing centre and its payment service provider; we store the order record, not your card details.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. Refunds follow the Refund policy: a 3-day window on new purchases and renewals, with some situations always refundable.

4. Third-party components and trademarks

The assistants and tools preinstalled in the container (OpenClaw, Claude Code, Hermes, cc-switch and others) and the model services they depend on are operated by their own providers under their own terms. WebClaw is an independent third-party product, not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them. All names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

5. Disclaimers and limits

We work to keep the service available, but we accept no unlimited liability for interruptions, delays or compatibility problems caused by third-party platforms, network conditions, your local configuration or force majeure. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is capped at the fees you actually paid for the relevant service.

A container is an isolation boundary, not an absolute security boundary. Do not process secrets inside it whose disclosure you could not tolerate, and be deliberate about which folders you mount in.

6. Breach

Where we find fraudulent registration, licence abuse, attacks on the platform, payment fraud or other breaches of these terms, we may restrict the service, suspend licences, terminate account access and, where necessary, pursue legal remedies.

7. Operator

WebClaw is developed and operated by JIA YIQIU, an independent software developer based in Beijing, China. Contact: jiayiqiu@qhkly.com.
