Privacy policy
How WebClaw collects, uses, stores and protects your information. Last updated: 18 August 2026.
The most important part first
Everything inside the container — your code, your files, your terminal history, what you do on the desktop — stays on your own machine or your own server. It is never uploaded to us. This policy covers website and account data, not your work.
1. What we collect
- —Account information: the email address you sign in with, plus the display name and profile picture provided by your sign-in method.
- —Licensing and subscription data: orders, licence keys, subscription status, device activation records.
- —Security and log data: IP address, request timestamps and verification-code records, used to prevent abuse and diagnose problems.
- —Feedback: suggestions, reports and contact details you send us deliberately.
- —Payment data: our billing centre and its payment provider process the transaction; on our side we keep the order amount, product, billing cycle and payment status.
2. How we use it
- —To handle sign-in, licence validation, subscription activation and orders.
- —To send product notices, provide support and investigate problems.
- —To detect abnormal behaviour and protect the platform and your account.
- —To improve the stability and usability of WebClaw.
3. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information to unrelated third parties, except where required by law, necessary to deliver the service, or explicitly authorised by you. Payments are processed by our billing centre (store.qhkly.com) and its payment service provider, which acts as merchant of record and receives the details necessary to complete your payment under its own privacy policy. Providers involved in email delivery, deployment and infrastructure may similarly handle the data necessary to perform those functions.
4. Storage and security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures, including access control, minimised storage, server-side authentication and rate limiting on abnormal requests. Account, order and licence records are kept while your account exists; after you request account deletion they are removed or anonymised, except where we must retain records for legal or accounting purposes. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed absolutely secure, so please keep your email, devices and licence details safe.
5. Your rights
- —You can contact us to access, correct or delete information you have provided.
- —If you stop using WebClaw, you can request deletion of identifiable account data.
- —If you have questions about how data is handled, reach us by feedback or email.
